Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the controls you have, in plain language.

Last updated June 15, 2026
The short version

We collect only what runs the app, and keep it minimal. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across other apps, and you can delete everything from Settings whenever you want.

What we collect

Account info

If you sign up, your email (or the Apple / Google identifier) and a display name. We never see your password; our provider handles sign-in.

Your activity

Venues you save, your preferred play time, booking attempts, recently viewed venues, and reviews. It lives on your device and syncs to your account when signed in.

Location

With permission, your location is used on-device to rank fields by distance. You can decline and pick an area by hand instead.

Diagnostics & usage

Crash reports and anonymous events like screens viewed, so we can fix bugs and see what to improve.

What we don't do

How we use it

To run the app's features (saving, syncing, reviews, distance ranking), to keep it stable (crash reports), and to understand which features get used so we can improve them.

Third parties

We rely on service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (account data and storage), Sentry (crash reporting), and PostHog (product analytics). Tapping a “Book” link opens an operator's own website, which has its own privacy policy.

Your choices & rights

Children

Onside isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions? support@getonside.ca.
